Sydney Family Session with Becky, Tommy & Billy

Family Shoot with Becky, Tommy & Little Billy

We were so stoked to fit in a little family session with Becky, Tommy and their gorgeous little tot Billy! We are frequently down on the Northern Beaches visiting family, and with these guys being local to the area we decided on an early afternoon picnic style shoot down under the Roseville Bridge at Davidson Park. Becky is an uber talented florist and so was all over the colour palette for the shoot, with all three in gorgeous toning colours and fun accessories, without being too ‘matchy’ - I love sending this gallery to anyone who’s asking for suggestions!

Little Billy came ready for adventure and had loads of fun running around with his parents, chasing ducks and trying his best to make a beeline for the water. Becky brought along one of Billy’s baskets with his little stuffy and favourite book in it so that they could hopefully have some quieter moments settled on a rug with their little energetic one, which worked beautifully after all of our adventuring towards the end of the shoot. It was an absolute joy to capture this little snapshot in time for them with their gorgeous son Billy.

We absolutely love shooting family sessions, so hit us up if you may be interested in one in the Sydney / Blue Mountains / Central West area and we’ll see if we can fit you in!

Hugh & Claire’s Blue Mountains Canyon Elopement

Blue Mountains Elopement

Gorgeous Blue Mountains local adventure couple Claire & Hugh had intended on eloping on a clifftop in Katoomba… The weather however had other plans in store, and so with a weeks worth of rain forecasted they made other plans to elope in a cave inside of a canyon which held a special place for both of them.

With never having visited this new location before, I went to explore it the day prior to check it out and came across the groom and best man rigging up what can only be described as a fairytale-like environment for the wedding to take place inside this epic cave. The walk down was fairly vertical, (my guidebook said to expect a hard 2hr -500m decent / accent and to avoid after rainfall!) so we also enlisted the help of these two adventurous blokes to get our gear in and out of the ceremony location on the day!

The day went ahead with groom Hugh arriving first and changing into his wedding attire, lovely local celebrant Tina (Love in The Mountains) making the trek down next, followed closely by the gorgeous Claire and her Bridesmaid. It certainly made it special and definitely added to the adventure of the day which suited this couple so beautifully.

Just as Claire was changing into her gorgeous boho gown, the clouds parted and so the decision was made to hold the wedding in the canyon itself, and to bring it in under the shelter of the cave if the rain came through again.

We were so lucky that the rain held off just long enough for the ceremony and a few minutes worth of pictures afterwards too, however we made plans to capture some epic clifftop pictures for them a few days later so that the couple could hike back up the canyon and go and share the evening with their witnesses and share the news with their families.

We will always treasure being able to witness and capture this beautiful little heartfelt elopement in the heart of the Blue Mountains which we love so dearly. Thank you so much for having us along Claire & Hugh!
